Gateway Africa offer a wide variety of small group, expertly
guided/escorted Scheduled overlanding adventures and trips, with year-round guaranteed
departure dates featuring the safari highlights of Botswana,
Namibia, Zambia and South Africa.
These semi-participation Camping adventures run with small groups [maximum
of 10]. We operate this type of trips throughout Southern
Africa. A guide, who is both a driver and a cook, will accompany
the clients. We want our clients to be part of the experience and
therefore ask them to participate in the tour.
Most
adventure camping safaris are not luxury vacations, therefore it is
important to approach the trip with an open mind, and a positive
attitude. Cooking and camping equipment are provided, with the
exception of a sleeping bag. Usually participation in making campfires,
cooking, the setting up and breaking down of camp, will be expected of
the traveler.

sense of space, matchless views and privacy. The interiors of the tents
have been redesigned to create a sense of stepping back in time, with
flowing linen of pure cottons and essential "old style" Out-of-Africa
finishes.

they are specially outfitted to ensure the camping feel with a clear
emphasis on necessary and stylish comfortable interiors.
