COSTS
& DEPARTURES ON REQUEST
This is a sample of how an eight day safari would run:
Classic Camps and Ilala Lodge, or
Premier Camps and Royal Livingstone:
DAY 1 & 2:
OKAVANGO - LAND ACTIVITY CAMP
On arrival in Maun, guests are met by a representative of The Safari
Company and transferred to the charter aircraft for the flight into
their first camp. Activities here center on the game drives as well as
walks in some of the Okavango's most scenic and private areas. The
choice of camps includes Chitabe, Chitabe Trails, Mombo,
Little Mombo, Vumbura or Duba Plains. Jao or
Kwetsani make great "land activity" camps from October
to April.
DAY 3 & 4:
OKAVANGO - WATER ACTIVITY OR MULTI-ACTIVITY CAMP
Guests are flown from their first camp, to a contrasting sector of the
Okavango to enjoy the activities on offer there. Mokoro-ing, boating,
fishing, walks - and at some camps, game drives are on offer. The choice
of camps includes Jao, Kwetsani, Little Vumbura or Xigera.
DAY 5 & 6:
THE LINYANTI OR SAVUTI
From the Okavango, guests are flown northeast to the Chobe / Linyanti
waterways. This is a completely contrasting region to the Okavango
Delta. Activities are enjoyed around the Savuti Channel or Linyanti
River on boats, vehicles or from hides. Choose from Duma Tau, Kings
Pool, Linyanti Tented Camp or Savuti Camp.
DAY 7:
VICTORIA FALLS
Guests are flown from their camp to Kasane where they board vehicles for
85km drive to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. On arrival, guests are checked
into their hotel on a bed and breakfast basis, leaving them free to eat
where they please and take in any of the wonderful activities available
in the falls. You might want to sign up for a one day white water
rafting, elephant back riding etc, or you want to enjoy the Victoria
Falls at a more leisurely pace, then you need to book into the falls for
two nights. Hotels to choose from include the Victoria Falls Hotel, the
Ilala Lodge, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and for those who seek a bit
more privacy, The River Club, which is situated across the river
in Zambia. The costing have been based on the Ilala Lodge.
DAY 8: SAFARI ENDS
The safari ends after breakfast with your transfer from your hotel or
lodge to the airport.

Activities:
Game viewing by open 4x4 vehicle, boat

Best season:
Depending on what you would like to see
and do, will dictate the best time of the year to visit Botswana. The
winter months (May to August) are good for game viewing where the summer
months (September to April) offer spectacular scenery and also the best
birdlife as the migratory birds return from up north (central Africa and
Europe) to breed in their thousands in specific places such as the
Okavango Delta.
