beautiful park is situated opposite the flood plains of the Mana Pools
national park in Zimbabwe where the rolling hills of the Zambezi
escarpment meet the Zambezi River.
From the famous
Zambian game walks, night drives, morning and afternoon drives, river
cruise to the thrill of canoeing down one of the most beautiful
stretches the Zambezi River.
Our Lower Zambezi

Day 1
Depart from Lusaka at 09:30 for the short flight to Lower Zambezi
landing at approx 10:15 where you will be met and transferred through
the Game Management Area to the camp. This is about a ½ hour’s
drive, with the chance of seeing Elephants etc on the way.
After settling into the camp and having lunch, you can simply relax
and watch the river till about 15:00 at about 15:00 you head off into
the park for an afternoons game drive, the cool of the afternoon is a
good time to spot the predators, as they prefer to hunt in the cooler
parts of the day. Arriving at a great spot to watch the sunset and
enjoy sundowners. We then go on an hour or so night drive keeping our
eyes open for the night hunters, such as Lion and Leopard as well as
many other nocturnal such as Porcupine, Civet and Genet, returning
back to our camp for dinner.
Day 2
Setting off early after a light breakfast so as to get the best chance
of seeing the predators, you do a 4 hour drive before returning to
camp for brunch. This afternoon you leave at about 15:00 for a sunset
cruise. We enjoy sundowners on an island before returning to camp for
dinner.
Day 3
This morning there is the option of a visit to the local cultural
village; a game drive or where permissible a walk in the nearby game
management area. All activities will last approx 3 hrs, after which,
you will be transferred up stream to an island for lunch. This
afternoon is the ½ day’s canoe trip. After a short safety talk by
the guide you start you ½ day’s canoeing back to the camp on - with
the possibility of sights of Buffalo, Elephant as well as many Hippos,
Crocs and other animals it is certainly an enjoyable day.
Day 4
You have the option of a game drive in the GMA with a bush breakfast,
or to remain at the camp have a lie in and relax with a late
breakfast, before flying out at 11:00
